Give all you have with all you have

I went to visit a dear old friend today. He is the most delightful 86 year old man with wisdom far beyond my years.

Often times we work and go through our day not knowing anything significant about the people we encounter. Do you ever take notice of the insignificant people in your life? You know the cashier at the local market, the person behind you in the checkout line, the driver of the car you pass, or the client you are talking to. Do you ever think the insignificant value you treat them with should be changed to significant?

As I was thinking about this today and wondering why don't we treat those perfect strangers with the respect we expect to receive? We want kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness. Why not give it to everyone?
